As work has been hectic lately, and we spent a great week in Yellowstone in January, we decided that we would not take a "big" trip at Spring Break. Instead, my life-long friend Diane came down for a short visit from Toronto, ON.
We marveled at the the wonderful weather compared to Toronto - it was -2 Friday when she checked the weather compared to our balmy 74 degrees.
Thursday I took the kids to the Williams Water Wall to shoot some pics....
Not bad for less than 40 minutes and $2 for parking!
After pics we made our way back to our neck of the woods and had some delicious pineapple salsa and lunch at Cafe Red Onion on Highway 290 - YUM!
Mostly we hung around the house, did a bit of shopping, went to a friend's birthday party (hope it was a happy day Abigail!) and just played in the back yard. Diane leaves Tuesday so it's back to the frozen tundra for her, and more gloriously warm Texas spring for us.....stay tuned....bluebonnets are coming soon!
